that we have to welcome another member...my good friend Jenny, who lost her baby at 11 weeks gestation.
I am so sorry you have to be here, Jenny.
Today I saw a woman out in the 11 degree weather. She was holding a sign "pregnant, homeless, and will work for food." Even though I didn't know the woman, and maybe she will make a lovely mother, I couldn't help thinking about myself, Jenny, and all of the women who I have met through this blog...and wondering why we get to lose our babies while others get to keep theirs.
I talked to my cousin Tracy today...who is due in about 2 weeks. I have never been so jealous in my life. I am supposed to be 34 weeks pregnant.
I am so sorry, Jenny. This club is Hell.
Megan,
ReplyDeleteHello and I am so very sorry that you find yourself in this "sorority". As you said, its hell and its so unfair :( However, we hold eachoter up and pull eachother through. I have a favorite saying that a close group of baby lost Mom's use as our mantra: "When you feel as if you've reached the end of your ROPE, tie a KNOT". We've tied eachothers knots so many times and we will tie yours too :)
Like you, I have never been so jealous of 2 of my friends. I was pregnant before both of them and now they will both be holding babies very soon and I've been directed to the END of the line...it hurts, but we will remain resilient and steadfast in HOPE :)
So sorry for your friend Jenny...she is lucky to have you.
I'm new to your blog by way of my sweet friend Shandrea and look forward to journeying with you.
Much Love
Andrea
